Sanaeé Walker (b.2005), from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is now based in Oceanside, California. Currently focused on Oil painting and Collage, she draws inspiration from the planet, her own lived experiences, and dreams.

“ I am a maker, explorer, and witness to the magic of this universe I've been blessed to experience.  Moving around all my life, I’ve had a fragile connection to my heritage, extended family, and cultural roots. Because of this, I have developed a deep relationship with my inner self ever since I was young, with a far-out imagination and lots of love for the universe around me. From this space of observation, I enjoy depicting connections I see in the two most frequent homes I have ever known: the body and the Earth.  

As a whole, I want my art to depict symbols, objects, memories, or subjects I find divine to prompt introspection and attentiveness to the world, ourselves, and the inhabitants around us.”
